Transferring to CSUs?

I am a JC transfer student, applying for fall 2011. Philosophy major, 3.0 gpa. My first choice is UCSC..but i am feeling a little weary with all of the budget cuts and acceptance cuts. So my back up plan is to also apply to a bunch of CSUs. i was wondering if any one can give me any info on the transfer students accepted to CSUs from JCs...gpa..etc..thank you!
