How can I download data from a seaward 1000s pat tester?

I have a seaward 1000s pat tester and have over 300 completed tests sitting in the machine. When I try and dowload to my laptop I get a message on the pat tester saying it can't talk to the printer. I am not trying to print, I am triying to load onto software to detail the tests.
