I agree with you. The girl shouldn't get into the habit of lying to her dad. I would tell her what you thought of (that you persuaded him), but make sure you tell your brother that you are going to change plans so that he doesnt make believe to his daughter that you went behind his back. Tell him the reason why also, he will appreciate your concern.
